our story

Fai quello che ami. Do what you love. We open the doors of Grano each day and smile. Why? Because we get to create memories for people through one of life’s simplest joys: sitting around a table and sharing good food inspired by Nonna’s home-style cooking. Owned and run by Nick and Anna Ferraro, Grano was opened with the sole aim of celebrating life, friends, food and family.

Our traditional home-style Southern Italian menu and wine list tell a story of where we come from. Southern Italy is renowned for its simple but mouth-watering pairings of ingredients to create sophisticated dishes. We bring that heritage to our menu. Grano revolves around its woodfired oven. Every day, soft white buffalo mozzarella melts under the oven’s searing heat, the creamy flavours marrying with rich passata and fresh produce. The paddle reaches in to pull out a crisp hot pizza, which arrives at the table with steam rising up to the ceiling. So, what’s it to be?

We have multiple areas in our restaurant for you to hold your next event. Celebrate balmy evenings in the lush surrounds of The Garden and/or Bifold, or head inside for a rustic Italian experience. You can even hire private seating in the larger Factoria. We welcome all events, from weddings and birthdays through to baptisms and work events.

Grano’s foundations are built on warm hospitality. Your guests can enjoy our catering menu, cooked onsite and catered by our passionate team at your event. Want the sweet scent of pizza to hang in the air of your celebration? We can set up our mobile vintage pizza truck at your event. It features a handmade woodfired oven, so your guests get their meals hot off the stone.
